About Jim's Test & Tag NZ

Jim’s Test & Tag is New Zealand’s largest specialist test and tag provider, servicing clients from Kaitaia to Invercargill. All of our technicians are highly trained and receive ongoing training and support to ensure they are providing you the most up to date and professional service possible. As business owners in their own right, they understand many of the challenges facing businesses today. Each is police checked before joining our team and committed to helping you keep your workspace safe and compliant.

Our fully mobile service is designed to keep your business running efficiently without major downtime while equipment is tested offsite. Utilising portable appliance testers, we can record every reading we take and provide these in a detailed report upon completion of testing. Should these reports be lost, we can provide copies within 24 hours and often sooner for urgent requests.

Our testing services include:

  • Single phase (240 volts) and three phase (415 volts) – including leakage testing
  • Residual Current Devices (RCD) – single phase and three phase (lifeguards)
  • Earth Fault Loop Impendence – this tests that the earth (fault) circuit forms the easiest path if a fault occurs
  • Microwave radiation leakage

Where repairs are not able to performed, our technicians are happy to facilitate the repair for you; by utilising our relationships with both tool repair shops, registered electricians and other service providers.

Insurance

All technicians are covered by a 10-million dollar Public Liability Insurance and a 2-million dollar Professional Indemnity Insurance. Current insurance cover is a mandatory requirement of our Franchise System to ensure we are all protected should something go wrong.
